A Properly Functioning Immune System…..important for the current healthcare crisis and beyond
Are you so tired that you sleep all night and still can’t successfully get your day started? Do you crash every day in the afternoon and can’t contemplate adding one more thing to your day? Are you so sleepy during the day but can’t sleep at night when you need to? Does working out put you down for three days to recover? Are your friends and family noticing that you don’t want to do anything anymore?
You may be suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome, a very poorly understood condition in which your body is telling you something is wrong – but what? You used to be so on top of things, but now you just want to crawl back into bed, but the rest is never enough. Does this sound like you or someone you know?
There are many causes for chronic fatigue syndrome, the most common of which is Epstein-Barr virus or mononucleosis. Did you have mono as a teenager? Sometimes mono is misdiagnosed as strep throat. At any rate, we can test you and see if you’ve ever had mono. Chronic or reactivated mono can make you feel as if you’ve been run over by a truck, even though the original infection was years ago.
Other causes of chronic fatigue include adrenal exhaustion, chronic Lyme disease, thyroid disorders, sex hormone dysfunction, low Vitamin D, anemia, autoimmune disorders, depression, insomnia, and the list goes on and on. There is no reason to continue living this way. If you are experiencing chronic fatigue, come in and let us find the cause. Your life is waiting – don’t waste another minute!
Next week, we will focus on sex hormone dysfunction. Don’t miss it!
