Battling Allergens Naturally!

Whoops! Last week just sailed right by, and I didn’t get my promised blog out about natural products from Metagenics to battle the allergens. My apologies, but I have some exciting products to share with you, and it just may be we needed the delay so I could share a brand new product with you that I have been taking for a couple of weeks now.

But let me back up. I have been taking SinuPlex off and on for a couple of years now. It contains a natural anti-inflammatory and a natural antihistamine. If you suffer in every season of allergens, you can take it every day, or as needed when your season starts. When you need a little extra support for nasal congestion, Nazanol is the way to go. When I take it, it works within 20 minutes.

Here’s a point about allergies in general: It would be a good idea for you to try to avoid gluten and/or dairy when you feel your typical symptoms coming on. Even if you are not technically “allergic” to gluten or dairy, they are known inflammation-producing, and, in the case of dairy especially – mucus producing foods. Just a thought, people. Why suffer needlessly?

It is this time of the year that allergies can sometimes run you down, and then you catch a cold or flu or bacterial infection. Metagenics has a broad selection of Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc, and products that contain disease-fighting mushroom extracts like Mycoferon, Mycotaki and ImmuCore. Also, don’t forget about your probiotic. If you’ve been taking one certain probiotic for a while, it might be good to switch to a different one from time to time to allow for greater bacterial diversity in your gut. Probiotics from the UltraFlora line are especially important if you end up going on an antibiotic. If you’re unsure what to choose, just let me know through your patient portal or drop by the clinic. If I have a minute, I can help you choose the best product for your needs.

Last but not least, I want to make you aware of one of Metagenics’ newest products that I alluded to earlier. OmegaGenics SPM – ta- da! I have been taking it for the last couple of weeks, and I have noticed that I don’t necessarily need to take the SinuPlex or the Nazanol daily. OmegaGenics SPM helps to resolve chronic inflammation. That can be different in different people – inflammatory bowel disorders, arthritis conditions, cardiovascular inflammation, etc.

Additionally, for me I am not sore the day after or two days after my workout. If you want more information on OmegaGenics SPM, I have a great clinical research article I can share with you.
Next week, I think we will take a look at the different causes of chronic fatigue. Know anybody experiencing that? ☹
